Pseudo Stickiness Caused by Dynamic Visual Information Between Fingertips

(in English) Research on pseudo-haptics caused by modulating visual information has been actively conducted, but the types of tactile sensations that can be presented with pseudo-haptics are still limited. In this study, we propose a new pseudo-haptics sensation that induces a sticky tactile sensation between fingertips by modulating dynamic visual information between fingertips. In the evaluation experiment, we displayed virtual objects between the fingertips using VR and deformed the virtual objects according to finger movements. As a result, we show that several tactile sensations of stickiness expressed in Japanese onomatopoeia. We also show that the sticky sensation can be enhanced by adding an adequate delay to the finger movement in addition to the display of the virtual object.
