A contactless finger vein authentication system, which realizes vein matching with high accuracy just by waving a hand in the air between a light source and a camera, often makes a verification error due to changes in the lighting environment, etc. To overcome such limitations, we propose an imaging system using stripe light scanning. It enables a reflective type imaging system to obtain high quality vein patterns equivalent to transmissive imaging systems. In addition, it can obtain vein patterns with different depth by changing the intervals of the stripe light. We confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method with experiments and showed the possibility of a more practical vein authentication system. |
