We investigate the influence of AR visual effects on the weight perception by changing the impression of the user’s arm strength. In the experiment, subjects compare the weights of two dumbbells by the arm with/without the AR visual effects. The AR visual effects are displayed by lifting the dumbbell so that the impression of the arm strength is changed. As a result of the experiment, we succeeded in creating the weight illusion by adding the AR strong-impression visual effects on the user’s arm. The upper limit of the weight illusion at 500g is expected to be between 50g and 75g. |
