A stacked microstrip antenna for radio-wave-type endoscope in real scale model

(in English) In current endoscopic surgery, there is a need for technology that can detect the location of blood vessels in fatty tissues. Therefore, the authors have proposed an antenna system for radio-wave-type endoscope. In this paper, a stacked microstrip antenna in a real scale model is used and compared with a single-layer microstrip antenna. We also evaluated the accuracy of blood vessel detection in the case of differential signal processing. As a result, a blood vessel with a diameter of 4 mm at a depth of 8 mm from the fat surface could be detected, confirming that the stacked microstrip antenna has improved vessel detection capability.
