Printed Circuit Board Type Monopole Antenna for Detecting Cracks Inside Concrete

So far, the authors have proposed a broadband Vivaldi antenna with improved near-field strength and investigated crack detection inside concrete. In this paper, a printed monopole antenna with a reflector is proposed to enhance the gain and improve the isolation between the transmitting and receiving antennas. The measured crack detection results show that the proposed antenna can detect cracks as well as the broadband Vivaldi antenna, and furthermore, the direct wave between the transmitting and receiving antennas is successfully reduced. |
