Construction of cascade classifier for piano keyboard detection

Fingering is important in playing the piano smoothly. In this research, as a preliminary step to acquiring fingering information, we first create a cascade classifier that detects piano keyboard, and then use the cascade classifier to estimate the piano keyboard position in video frames of piano performances. If fingering can be estimated from the piano keyboard position and finger position, it can be applied to things such as estimating the difficulty of a piece of music and automatically generating vertical line notation. |
