Study of projection mapping that achieve both background projection and lighting effects in stage productions

(in English) In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of cases in which backgrounds are expressed by projection in stage plays. However, the problem is that the stage lighting that hits the performers cancels out the background image, reducing the production effect. In this research, we will realize a background projection technology that removes the effects of illumination light, and propose a system that achieves both background projection and illumination for the performers. By not using a camera, the influence of illumination light is reduced without delay, and the influence of shadows caused by performers blocking the illuminators is reduced by luminance correction technology using multiple projectors.
