Color Vision Estimation for Color Correction Considering Individual Differences

(in English) Color correction for color blindness requires accurate estimation of individual color vision. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating discrimination ellipsoids of each individual without using large-scale facilities. To estimate the discrimination ellipsoids, we measure just-noticeable differences in eight directions around a reference color using two types of interfaces, a slider and a button, and estimate the ellipses by the least-squares method. Experimental results shown that the proposed method could find discrimination difficult color pairs than the previous method from the True Negative rate. The estimated discrimination ellipses, moreover, represented color blindness symptoms, which confirms the high accuracy of the proposed method.
