Measurements of accommodation responses for 3D glasses using aspherical phase plates for stereoscopic endoscopic surgery

(in English) We have developed 3D glasses using aspherical phase plates to reduce the visual fatigue of the stereoscopic endoscopic surgeries. The 3D glasses can mitigate the vergence-accommodation conflict by the enlargement of the depth of field (DOF) using the aspherical phase plates so that the comfortable observation range can be increased. We have confirmed the effectiveness of the 3D glasses by the subjective evaluation conducted in the hospital. Then, we have confirmed the enlargement of DOF by evaluating the retinal images. In this study, we measured the accommodation responses of eyes for 3D images displayed in the enlarged DOF range. The measured results are shown.
