Team work engagement improvement support system based on AI Facilitator

Recently, there has been a demand for work styles that are conscious of work engagement, including productivity. In this report, we propose a method for configuring facilitation agents to improve teamwork engagement. Specifically, based on the team's conversation history, the AI facilitator automatically generates empathy, support, suggestions, etc. based on generative AI technology (Chat GPT) using a large-scale language model, and feeds it back to team members. This method was utilized for a month-long seminar team activity (joint research activity) via Slack, and seven members were asked whether (i) the generated answers were in line with their goals; (ii) We conducted a questionnaire evaluation (on a five-point scale) to determine whether the generated answers were supportive. In addition, we evaluated whether (iii) the work engagement index had improved using a questionnaire based on the UWES scale. As a result, although there were individual differences, the average response for (i) was 3.7 for whether it was in line with the goal, and the average for (ii) was 4 for whether it was supported, confirming that generally appropriate responses were generated. On the other hand, at the same time, observation of the state using the work engagement scale (iii) showed that although the results had improved on average from the beginning, there were fluctuations depending on the time constraints of research activities and the level of achievement. We plan to use the newly developed support system in various team development projects, improve its functionality, and verify its effectiveness. |
