Laboratory Test of Transmitter Station Signature using Future Extension Frame of Advanced ISDB-T

The Advanced ISDB-T system has been developed in order to provide next-generation terrestrial broadcasting services such as 4K for fixed reception and 2K for mobile reception within single channel. The transmitter station signature of Advanced ISDB-T is an identifier to distinguish each transmitter station by receivers. Each transmitter station has a unique transmitter station signature, which is multiplexed on broadcasting waves. In the previous report, we proposed the method to transmit the transmitter station signatures on the future extension frames of Advanced ISDB-T. To evaluate the transmission perfor-mance of the method, we conducted laboratory tests. It was confirmed to be able to identify the main transmitter station even in SFN environments. |
