Addition of hidden Information to image by modulation of color difference between adjacent pixels

A method for information hiding in images by modulating the saturation of pixels has been proposed. Saturation
between adjacent pixels is set to 0 or a given value depending on the bit value of secret information. Embedded bit values can
be extracted by evaluating the color difference between pixels. Signal processing for modulation is performed in the ICtCp
color space and the color difference ΔEITP is employed as the parameter for the amount of modulation in giving the saturation
difference. The subjective evaluation experiments of the visibility of the modulated pixels showed that image degradation can
be suppressed if the modulation amount is less than 10. Under these conditions, it is possible to modulate more than 99.96% of
sRGB grayscale values. |
