Stereo images should be highly compressed for limited bandwidth. When people with anisometropia view stereo images after data compression, the appearance of images may become unnatural compared to the appearance by individuals without anisometropia. We investigated the possibility of improving this problem by displaying stereo images with a difference in compression ratio (none, small, large) between the left and right images. We conducted a evaluation experiment using six evaluation items on subjects with no visual abnormality who were using occlusion foils to simulate anisometropia. Evaluation was performed using Scheffe's paired comparison method. |
