Analysis of the radio wave propagation mechanism on the sea surface near a quay

(in English) We aim to establish underwater wireless communications using electromagnetic waves for underwater and sea communications infrastructure. In this paper, in order to analyze the propagation mechanism on the sea surface and near the quay, we evaluate the radio wave propagation characteristics through experiments and further perform numerical analysis using electromagnetic field simulation. By changing the distance between the sea surface and the antenna and the distance between the antenna and the quay, we confirmed the influence of the propagation path that takes the sea surface and the quay between the transmitting and receiving antennas in propagation environments close to the sea surface or walls. We report our theoretical analysis of these issues.
