In this paper, we propose a method for supporting interior coordination by leveraging image generation and complementary recommendation techniques. Existing 3D scan–based methods for supporting interior coordination require users to scan images of a room and manually select both the items to be replaced and their replacements, which places a considerable burden on users. To address this, our study focuses on the task of replacing interior items in an existing room image and introduces a support method that utilizes a single room image already taken by the user, based on complementary recommendation and image generation techniques. By automatically replacing interior items in the room image, the proposed method enables users to concretize a new room design with minimal effort. Through experiments evaluating the effectiveness of both the complementary recommendation and image generation techniques, we verify the usefulness of the proposed method and conclude by discussing future directions. |
