Multiple-input multiple-output reception technology increases the number of receiving antennas equivalently by using multiple terminals in the neighborhood for reception. In this technology, the scheme of selecting the collaborating terminals determines the transmission performance.
In particular, it is desirable to select terminals appropriately for each frequency sub-band because frequency-selective fading is caused by delayed waves in high-speed transmission.
Since the likelihood information computed in signal processing is a good indicator of terminal selection, the transmission performance improve as the search range for terminal selection is expanded. On the other hand, the number of terminal combinations in the entire bandwidth increases as the number of sub-band partitions increases. To solve this problem, we propose a scheme in which the number of terminals used for collaboration is increased based on the likelihood information after terminal selection using signal to interference plus noise power ratios.
The error rate performance of the proposed scheme was evaluated by computer simulation and signal processing using actual received signals, and it was confirmed that the proposed scheme improves transmission performance. |
