Far-Infrared Image Deblurring via Deep Unfolding Based on a Thermal Temporal Transition Model

(in English) Far-infrared cameras can directly measure radiation emitted from heat sources. The far-infrared cameras based on the microbolometer method are widely used due to their ability to operate without cooling. However, their slow temporal response often leads to motion blur when objects move before thermal equilibrium is achieved.Conventional approaches address this by modeling pixel-wise thermal temporal transition and applying optimization with temporal regularization. However, the performance of such model-based methods is sensitive to the setting for regularization and algorithmic parameters. In this paper, we apply a deep unfolding approach to the model-based optimization framework based on the thermal temporal transition model. This enables high-precision blur removal using training data while preserving the interpretability of the physical model.
