Study on Skateboarding Training Support Using Image Analysis

In this paper, we propose a method to support the improvement of skateboarding using image analysis technology. We defined three specific functions: (1) a function for synchronized playback with a model that presents visual information, (2) a function for visualization of the skeleton and trajectory, and (3) a function for advice on points to focus on and points to pay attention to that presents verbal information. We implemented (1) and (2) based on skeletal detection using MediaPipe and board position and angle detection using Yolov5-OBB. We evaluated the effectiveness of these functions by having users, mainly elementary and junior high school students, experience them in an actual skate park. As a result, we confirmed the effectiveness of the visual information and the necessity of verbal information. |
