ISDB-T3, which was standardized by ARIB in March 2025, has a frame-synchronization-based frame structure in which the frame synchronization signal and TMCC are transmitted at the beginning of the frame.
In the subframe section, 78 patterns of transmission parameters can be set as a combination of carrier modulation and LDPC code rate.
This paper reports the results of the transmission performance evaluations in a fixed reception environment for 78 patterns of transmission parameters on laboratory experiments, selections of transmission parameters with superior transmission efficiency, and a comparative evaluation of transmission performance between ISDB-T3 and advanced ISDB-T with the conventional frame structure in which TMCC is transmitted using continuous carriers during the subframe section as a fundamental study for selections of transmission parameters of ISDB-T3. |
