When applying the SC-FDE (Single Carrier – Frequency Domain Equalization) wireless transmission system to Microwave links of TV Program Contribution (FPU: Field Pick-up Unit in Japan) for mobile transmission, demodulation using the MMSE method on the receiver side is superior in terms of error rate. However, it is necessary to detect the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) on the receiver side. This report describes a method for detecting the SNR and presents the results of evaluating the bit error rate characteristics in a Rayleigh fading environment. |
