Chromostereopsis is a phenomenon in which certain colors appear to advance or recede in depth, caused by binocular disparity resulting from differences in the refractive indices of colors that shift their retinal images. The purpose of this study is to prevent unintended effects of chromostereopsis in design and to propose effective methods for advertising and visual emphasis. First, the effects of background color and individual differences in chromostereopsis were examined, yielding results consistent with previous studies. Furthermore, evaluations were conducted using both PC displays and projection screens to clarify differences in depth perception between central and peripheral vision. |
