Observation of magnetic domain in magnetic flux concentrators for magnetic sensors by Kerr imaging

To investigate magnetic domain structure of a magnetic flux concentrator used for high-sensitivity magnetic sensors under an applied magnetic field, longitudinal and transverse Kerr images were simultaneously using a polarization camera, enabling the acquisition of in-plane vector components. As a result, contrast changes corresponding to the longitudinal and transverse components of the magnetic domain structure, as well as variations in contrast along the direction of the applied magnetic field, were observed. Furthermore, analysis of the obtained images revealed the presence of a complex magnetic domain structure. |
