Fundamental Evaluation of Pseudo-3D Perception in Flat Aerial Images of Real Objects

This study investigated whether pseudo-3D perception in the case of real aerial images improves due to the same
factors as in the case of virtual images. For displaying real aerial images, we employed AIRR using a half-mirror and a
retroreflective sheet. By evaluating pseudo-3D perception on the rotational motion of the flat aerial image, the luminance of
background and contrast of background, we confirmed that the similar results were observed in real image as in virtual image. |
