[Poster Presentation] Construction and Response Characterization of Ni-Co Bimetallic Non-Enzymatic Glucose Sensing Materials via Electrochemical Deposition

(in English) Self-powered glucose sensors enable continuous blood glucose monitoring without pain or charging via a filament inserted subcutaneously. They also hold promise for energy applications as they can drive external circuits using glucose as fuel. Conventional enzyme-based glucose sensors suffer from short catalyst lifetimes. Therefore, this study focused on non-enzymatic glucose sensors using inorganic catalysts. Electrochemical deposition methods were used to deposit Ni(OH)2, Co(OH)2, and mixtures thereof onto FTO glass substrates to fabricate electrodes. Cyclic voltammetry and amperometry measurements were performed in glucose aqueous solutions using the resulting electrodes to evaluate their glucose sensing characteristics.
