Style Representation for Highly Flexible Real-Time AR Makeup

recent years, augmented reality (AR)–based makeup has gained attention in electronic commerce and beauty applications. However, many existing methods rely on fixed color and texture representations, making flexible style control and natural rendering that follows facial movements difficult. In this paper, we propose a real-time AR makeup simulation system with highly flexible style control. The proposed method extracts cheek and lip regions based on facial landmarks and applies distance-based weighting to adjust color intensity and brightness at the pixel level, achieving natural makeup expressions. In addition, parameters for color and texture are independently adjustable, allowing flexible representation of styles such as gradient cheeks and glossy or matte lips. Experimental results confirm that the system achieves stable real-time rendering under facial motion and expression changes, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed approach. |
