Harvest decision of pears depends on the experience of the experts. It is difficult for new farmers to master. There are many methods to assess maturity from a single perspective in previous studies. However, the fruits are observed from multiple angles to make a judgment because the appearance of pear fruits varies depending on the viewing angles. Therefore, this study estimates two-sided maturity of pears using deep learning and propose harvest decision based on those. Moreover, it verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method, indicates the applicability to AR devices. |
