Proposal of Avatar Gaze Control based on User Landmarks for Digital Signage Interaction

To address the unnaturalness caused by the fixed gaze of avatars in existing digital signage, this study proposes a gaze control method using user body landmarks and QR codes. This method identifies the speaker and dynamically calculates the accurate gaze angle corresponding to their position. The results of evaluation experiments suggested that gaze control may contribute to forming an impression of "calmness" as a conversational partner, rather than influencing evaluations of appearance. |
