A Study on Furniture Color Scheme Tendencies in a Furniture Color Coordination Video Game

In recent years, video games that allow players to freely construct spaces and interiors have become increasingly common, drawing attention to color coordination behavior in virtual environments. This study investigates the tendency toward color unity in virtual furniture coordination using a custom-developed furniture color coordination game. By allowing participants to independently select material colors and fabric colors, both color selection logs and questionnaire responses were analyzed. The results indicate that material colors tend to show smaller variation and stronger unity, whereas fabric colors exhibit greater diversity and more flexible selection. The findings suggest that, even in virtual spaces, players demonstrate a certain degree of preference for color unity, though this tendency differs depending on furniture elements. |
