Study on Projection Mapping that Achieves Both Accurate Lighting Effects on Performers and Background Projection in Stage Production

In recent years, cases of using video projection to represent backgrounds in stage performances have been increasing. However, a problem arises where stage lighting cast on performers causes issues such as washing out the background video, thereby reducing the production's effectiveness. In this study, giving top priority to lighting the performer's entire body, we propose a system that balances lighting the person with background projection that suppresses such interference. This suppression is achieved through luminance correction techniques and the distribution of brightness by adding light sources. Furthermore, we aim for a system configuration with few constraints on equipment placement. |
