主体の逆転現象を組み込んだ映像表現における鑑賞体験の再編

本研究は、監視カメラ網やネットワーク化された表示・記録システム、生成技術の普及によって成
立する現代の映像環境を背景に、見る／見られる関係が鑑賞をいかに編成し直すかを検討し、映像作品お
よびインスタレーションの制作・記述と、展示空間における鑑賞者の行動観察／記録にもとづく分析を行
う。ここで扱う「主体の逆転現象」とは、鑑賞者が「見る側」として関与しつつ、記録・再提示といった装
置過程により「見られる側」として組み込まれることを指す。すなわち、鑑賞者が自らを「見る主体」と
みなす前提が揺らぎ、同時に「見られる対象」として組み込まれる。この状況を踏まえ映像表現における
鑑賞体系の再編を行う。 |

This study examines how the relationship between seeing and being seen reconfigures the act of viewing within the contemporary visual environment established by surveillance camera networks, networked display and recording systems, and the proliferation of generative technologies. It analyzes both the production and description of video works and installations, and the behavior of viewers within exhibition spaces based on observation and recording. The “reversal of subjectivity” addressed here refers to the phenomenon where viewers, while participating as the “watching side,” are simultaneously incorporated as the “watched side” through processes such as recording and re-presentation. That is, the premise that viewers consider themselves the “watching subject” is destabilized, and they are simultaneously incorporated as the “watched object.” Based on this situation, the study reorganize es the viewing system within visual expression. |
