Dynamic Pose Adjustment of 3D Models Based on Viewing Angles

Recently, a new form of media expression known as virtual figures has become widespread, enabling the development of previously unattainable viewing experiences. This study applies animation-style expressive techniques that could not be reproduced with conventional physical figures. Specifically, the proposed method dynamically adjusts the pose of the figure in response to changes in the viewer’s viewpoint. The criteria for these adjustments were determined based on prior studies as well as common characteristics independently identified from actual animated works. As a result, it was confirmed that animation-style features—previously difficult to reproduce in traditional figure viewing—can be consistently maintained across a wide range of viewing angles. |
