Sketch Interface for Supporting Text Layout in Lyric Animation

This paper proposes a system for efficiently designing text layouts in lyric animations (kinetic typography). When users draw a free-form stroke on the screen, the system automatically adjusts the location of each character while avoiding overlapping between characters. To achieve this, we compute circumscribed circles of characters from its axis-aligned bounding box and distance between the circles. To demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method, we visually compare several baselines with ours. |
