Improvement of a Display Position Determination Method for Floor-Based Visual Presentation for Pedestrians

In this study, we propose and develop a novel system that enables the presentation of distinct images on the
forward floor surface for each pedestrian within an environment capable of large-scale floor projection. The
system measures the position and moving direction of users walking in the space in real time, and continuously
projects images onto the floor surface in front of them based on these measurements. This allows users to
experience personalized visual content even while walking. The system can simultaneously recognize multiple
users and generate and project independent images for each of them. Such capabilities are expected to support a
wide range of applications, including interactive content for entertainment and art exhibitions, as well as social
uses such as information provision and evacuation guidance in public spaces. |
