3D Model Creation using Occlusion-aware HyperDreamer

(in English) HyperDreamer is a method for creating 3D models from a single image. While HyperDreamer can create realistic 3D models with materials and textures, this method does not account for self-occlusions when estimating materials, leading to less accurate estimates, especially in concave regions. Our method calculates visibility functions at each vertex of inferred object geometries to account for self-occlusions. Our method represents the calculated visibility functions as a linear combination of spherical Gaussians, enabling the analytical calculation of reflected radiance. Experimental results show that our method can improve rendering and perceptual quality in concave regions.
