NHKでは，生放送のトーク番組を想定し，映像のスイッチングを自動化する AI自動スイッチングシステム「SWARTA（SWitching smART Ai assistant）」の開発に取り組んでいる．SWARTAはカメラ映像と出演者の音声を元に，スイッチング担当者の経験則に基づく方法やLLM（large language models）を用いた方法で各カメラ映像のスコアを算出し，最もスコアの高いカメラ映像へのスイッチングを行う．開発したSWARTAを用いて，生配信の一部において映像出力を行った．生配信後に明らかとなった課題を踏まえ，音声指示や最小カメラ保持時間の自動調整などの機能を新たに追加した． |

NHK is developing the AI automatic video switching system "SWARTA (SWitching smART Ai assistant)", which automates video switching, assuming live talk shows. SWARTA calculates scores for each camera feed based on the camera footage and the performers’ audio, using methods based on a video switcher’s heuristics as well as methods employing large language models (LLM), and switches to the camera feed with the highest score. Using the developed SWARTA system, a part of the video output was produced during a live broadcast. |
