With the spread of smartphones, the demand for creating vertical videos by reframing parts of original 16:9 footage has increased. When creating vertical videos, it is important to preserve the original Editor’s intent conveyed through the subjects in the video. In this report, we propose a vertical video reframing method based on object existence transitions across frames. We also develop an automatic vertical video reframing system using this method and confirm its effectiveness through evaluation experiment. |
