Clock Transmission Method for Slave Synchronization through Next-generation STL/TTL

(in English) We have been researching and developing a next generation STL (Studio to Transmitter Link) /TTL (Transmitter to Transmitter Link) system for broadcast program relay of advanced ISDB-T (Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting for Terrestrial). By adopting high-capacity transmission technologies and multiplexing technologies, the next-generation STL/TTL enables multiple transmissions of broadcast program transport signals for current and advanced ISDB-T systems. During the transition period from current to advanced ISDB-T, multiple transmission of current broadcast program transport signals (broadcast TSs (Transport Streams)) by next-generation STL/TTL is supposed. In that case, multiple clock transmission to individual modulators for slave synchronization through next-generation STL/TTL is also needed. In this report, we describe our proposed clock transmission method and its hardware verification result.
