Viewpoint-dependent Information Projection Using Specular Reflection by Expanding the Specular Image of the Light Source

This study proposes a viewpoint-dependent information projection method using projection surfaces with specular reflection for spatial augmented reality. To reduce the local high-luminance specular image of the light source superimposed on the projected information, a Fresnel lens is inserted between the projector and the projection surface to expand the specular image and reduce the luminance per unit area. Experiments using two projectors confirmed viewpoint-dependent switching of information on projection surfaces with specular reflection. |
