In OFDM mobile environments, Doppler shifts cause inter-carrier interference (ICI), resulting in degradation of reception performance. Although the Zero-Forcing (ZF) method can compensate for ICI, it requires matrix inversion, leading to a high computational complexity. To address this issue, an ICI Canceller with Complexity Reduction that considers only the dominant interference components has been proposed. However, the required number of adjacent interference subcarriers depends on the propagation environment and must therefore be estimated at the receiver. In this study, regression models using the average ICI power and carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) as input variables were constructed to estimate the required number of adjacent interference subcarriers. Both a linear regression model and a quadratic multiple regression model were investigated. Computer simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method accurately estimates the required number of adjacent interference subcarriers. |
