We have developed an estimation method for the angular misalignment that arises between the parallax barrier and the display panel in the manufacturing of autostereoscopic 3D displays.
Our method estimates angular misalignment by calculating wave vectors from the spatial-frequency spectrum of the captured moiré and applying the law of cosines.
We experimentally verified that the difference between the estimated and measured angular misalignment was less than $0.1^circ$.
Furthermore, we visually confirmed that correcting the parallax images using the estimated values reduced double images due to crosstalk.
