In this work, we propose a 2.1-μm RGB-IR CMOS image sensor with sequential operation combining rolling shutter (RS) and global-shutter (GS) modes for in-cabin applications. As an RGB sensor, it achieves a dynamic range (DR) of 112 dB at Tj=85 °C, enabling high-quality visible imaging. For the IR sensor, we achieve state-of-the-art characteristics with 65% modulation transfer function (MTF) and 35% infrared quantum efficiency (IR-QE), facilitating gaze detection under IR illumination. |
