Mirror-Based Synchronized Capture for High-Resolution Sports Interaction Analysis

This study proposes a method using a single camera and a planar mirror to capture two spatially separated subjects at high resolution with strict temporal synchronization. The direct view and the virtual view generated by mirror reflection are recorded within the same frame, thereby avoiding temporal misalignment that may occur in multi-camera configurations while capturing each subject at high resolution. Experiments in tennis and baseball scenes demonstrated improved resolution of the target subjects and confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method for pose estimation, facial landmark detection, and ball analysis. |
