The cell membrane of biological cells contains ion channels, through which cells communicate via the movement of ions during channel opening and closing. The mechanism of ion channels is governed by their opening and closing rates (rate constants), which can be estimated from the waveforms of electric currents caused by the movement of ions. In this study, we propose a rate constant estimation technique that can be applied when the maximum current value is unknown, and evaluate its accuracy through simulations. |
