自動車開発では仮想環境でのシミュレーションが必須である．シミュレータにおいては，自動車の安全性や走行性能を適切に評価するために道路，白線，信号，道路標識，街路樹等の設置オブジェクトのリアリティが重要である．著者らの研究グループでは，道路標識の経年変化による多様な劣化を再現する手法の研究開発に取り組んでいる．本研究では特に，警戒標識の褪色劣化の表現について検討した結果を報告する．また，汚れや塗装剥がれ等の別の劣化要因についても再現できる統合システムの構想について報告する． |

In car development, simulations in virtual environments are essential. In simulators, the realism of installed objects like roads, lane markings, traffic signals, road signs, and street trees is important for properly evaluating a car's safety and driving performance. Our research group is working on developing methods to reproduce various types of road sign deterioration due to aging. In this study, we specifically report on our findings regarding how to represent fading in warning signs. We also discuss the idea of an integrated system that could reproduce other types of deterioration, like dirt and paint peeling. |
