Toward the realization of IP broadcasting over cable television using Local 5G, the authors propose a video distribution method that combines adaptive MBS with hybrid MIMO. In this paper, we use a simulator to comparatively evaluate multicast (MC), unicast (UC), and adaptive MBS in rank-variable hybrid MIMO, rank-fixed hybrid MIMO, and SISO systems. Furthermore, using a heterogeneous MCS distribution model, we analyze the effects of reception environment heterogeneity, MIMO rank, and transmission schemes on transmission efficiency. Based on these results, we demonstrate the effectiveness of adaptive MBS in rank-variable hybrid MIMO. |
