Estimation on Directional Singularity of CMOS Imase Sensor with Pseudorandom Pixel Placement
Junichi Akita (Kanazawa Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Conventional image sensors have the pixels arranged at lattice positions for ease of implementation. Lattice placement of pixels intrinsically has the problem of the directional singularity of the clarity on image representation, for example, the appearance of jaggy is dependent on the direction of the objects. In this paper, we describe the estimations on the optical characteristics of image sensors with pseudorandomly placed pixels for circle and rectangular shape in terms of the clarity on image representation.
