Improvement of Coding Performance for Matching Pursuits using Dynamic Learning Dictionary

(in English) Video coding methods have been based on hybrid coding which employs motion compensation and discrete cosine transform. On the other hand, another high efficiency video coding method using Matching Pursuits (MP) has been proposed in low bit rate. The Matching Pursuits algorithm represents a signal with an approximate from using a dictionary. On the results, coding performance depends on the dictionary greatly. In this paper, we introduce a technique of dynamic dictionary design, and we attempt to improve the coding performance by applying the dynamic dictionary at each frame in encoding process.
