Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recent demand on the technology of wide-dynamic-range (WDR) reproduction for, e.g. a security camera, is increasing. We propose a reproduction method adopting the local adaptation process in our vision system to achieve the perceptual tone mapping for displaying a WDR scene on low DR devices. Proposed method preserves local contrast with holding the global luminance characteristic. In addition, since calculation cost is also comparatively small, implementation to a real-time operation is also easy.
