Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Map information is important for path planning and self-localization when mobile robots accomplish autonomous tasks. Then, in unknown environments, they should generate an environment map by themselves. An omni-directional camera is effective for environmental measurement, because it has a wide field of view. We propose an estimation method of omni-directional camera motions with feature flow model. Our method fits feature point movements to feature flow model for estimation of camera motions. Experimental results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method.
