A CIS with 13b column-parallel cyclic ADC is presented. Single-ended architecture with lower read noise enables the imager to expand DR up to 71dB. Ultra-low VFPN of 0.1e-rms is attained by combining with digital CDS, which performs A/D conversion twice in a horizontal scan period. The prototype imager has 7.07V/lx.s sensitivity, 5.6um ADC pitch, 61uV/e- conversion gain, 4.7 e-rms read noise, and less than 0.5 LSB DNL. |
